A year after creating her beautiful jewelry line, Diana was inspired by a third influence that changed not only her business but also changed the way she designed her jewelry. After six weeks of travelling through Africa and observing devastating poverty and illness, Diana decided that she was not going to see the land around her as a place of unpromising future but rather a place where people with gifts and talents were waiting for opportunity. Beginning with an inspiring South African mother who makes jewelry boxes out of recycled magazines, Diana began making a difference by opening job opportunities for those in need. Since then, Diana has created pieces whose proceeds go to providing for many people in Africa. With each purchase of select jewelry, Diana gives back to provide ten Africans with clean water for a year, money for an organization to help improve the quality of life for African orphans, and the funds to providing job opportunities for others.
